Vitae Pharmaceuticals' proprietary structure-based drug discovery platform has the unique ability:
- to build compounds with completely novel chemistry that fit precisely into the target space on a protease or enzyme, and also meet a comprehensive set of predefined compound characteristics specific to each program's needs and goals;
- to predict the conformational alignment of these new drug molecule designs within the protein space, with accuracy equal to that of x-ray crystallography;
- to rank these drug molecule designs in silico based on expected potency with a high degree of accuracy, to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity for our wet lab synthetic work; and,
- to provide our medicinal chemists with tremendous lead optimization problem solving power and flexibility within our computationally driven, structure-based approach.
